I see that Igor is attempting to help but it seems like we're seeing an increasing number of people complaining about this and it would be nice if someone could try to get to the bottom of the problem. Any possibility that someone could take a look at what seems to be a nasty setup.exe problem? There is lots of discussion in cygwin-xfree. It's mainly under the subject xorg installation fails, 99% complete only. I have briefly reviewed that thread, but didn't find much debugging information. At the moment I am short on time, and only have one machine available to me. When I return home from university (Dec 6th), I will have much more time, and a 2nd machine on which to attempt reproduction. Max.

There were a couple of setup.log's posted and a couple cygchecks. If more is needed, then someone has to engage the frustrated users. cgf
