I don't know if vim has been using this feature of xterm with cygwin - it may be that there's some unexpected time-delay or buffer-problem. -- Thomas E. Indeed I have verified that '1.5.3-4 +bs' works fine in redrawing the overlapped area (I have done this with another application, PAW from CERNLIB). Perhaps you have just started 1.5.3-4 thinking you have added +bs, but really omitting it. May you retry? fonts and xterm
Hello all, I have recently updated to the newest XWin and have noticed the following on my Vista laptop: - whenever I open an xterm as indicated below, the scrollbar does not work and the window is not rendered at the bottom and on the right where small bands reveal the background; is this an xterm problem that will be fixed? Or some omission on my part? xterm -sb -rightbar -fg white -bg black -e /bin/bash --login -i - I can't seem to fix the problem with finding Times-Roman for applications such as graphviz which I had resolved previously - where is Times-Roman now? xmgrace and xmhtml hang in XR7
Hi, I am updating to XR7. I have problems with xmgrace and xmhtml. Both programs behave similarly, the program runs consuming 50% of the CPU time, but the window never appears. The process cannot be stopped with kill -9 $ ps ... 2668 13612 33800 1008 12:08:03 /usr/bin/XWin 261638442616 31242 1008 12:17:55 /usr/bin/xmgrace $ kill -9 2616 bash: kill: (2616) - Resource temporarily unavailable I had to use the task manager in order to stop the process. Some outputs of cygcheck and the XWin.0.log file are attached. I have set export KEYSYMDB=/usr/share/X11/XKeysymDB export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 I have run rebaseall, but nothing changes. I had no problems with other X programs, from the cygwin distribution or my own programs. I hope that someone has some solution. Hi In the process of rebuilding XmHTML against latest X11R7.4 I discovered that one of the test applications cannot be build anymore: gcc -g -funroll-loops -pipe -ansi -DNDEBUG -DHAVE_STRINGS_H -D_GNU_SOURCE -DHAVE_REGEX_H -DHAVE_LIBJPEG -DHAVE_LIBPNG -DHAVE_LIBZ -Dlint -Dproduction -DMotif -I. -I../include -I../include/common -I../../include -I../../include/common -I../../include/XmHTML -I/usr/X11R6/include -c example_4.c In file included from /usr/include/Xm/XmAll.h:79, from example_4.c:78: /usr/include/Xm/Print.h:28:34: X11/extensions/Print.h: No such file or directory In file included from /usr/include/Xm/XmAll.h:79, from example_4.c:78: /usr/include/Xm/Print.h:40: error: parse error before "XPContext" /usr/include/Xm/Print.h:43: error: parse error before '}' token /usr/include/Xm/Print.h:61: error: parse error before "XPFinishProc" make[1]: *** [example_4.o] Error 1 It seems that /usr/include/X11/extensions/Print.h is no longer available but it is still referenced from /usr/include/Xm/Print.h from latest libXm-devel-0.95.0-2.
