Re: Rsync

2008-05-06 Thread Brett Serkez
Ronald, you should post that to the cygwin mailing list. And be more
specific. AFAIK, rsync is a cygwin package.

Search the cygwin mail list archives.

I discovered a long standing issue with rsync on Cygwin that to the
best of my knowledge was never resolved, it fails under certain
conditions having to do with a sync error in the protocol which I
believe is related to an xon/xoff error on the local pipe.

I now use rsync under Linux/CentOS no problem and use SyncBack on
Windows when I need this sort of functionality. Perhaps you might
have better luck.

Brett

What exactly is your problem? Do you have any errors you could provide?

Dirk

2002-06-26 Thread Chris Jonker

I am looking for a version of RSYN to run on Windows 98.
It does not seem to be part of the Cygwin package (anymore?).

Where can I find a version of Rsync for windows?

Thanks,

Chris

RE: rsync

Yes, is still a part of cygwin package. Do you use cygwin setup.exe? With
this one I can still download rsync.
You can find it also from http://www.cygwin.com/packages/rsync/
