Hi Nazarii, I'm no expert but it looks to me as though your GCC version is
very old; version 5 I think, currently debian is on version 8 stable and 9 on
testing. Try installing at least version 8 and try again.

A better choice would have been the X-A3 as it is 24 mega pixel bayer.

For official support for your camera.

Two things to do: (as in, do *both*)
0. upload a sample to https://raw.pixls.us/
1. open a camera support issue
https://redmine.darktable.org/projects/darktable/issues/new

[darktable-dev] darktable-chart

2017-10-29 Thread Tim Rolph
Hi, I have been using darktable-chart styles created from Canon CRW Raw images
and in camera jpeg's and am pleased with the results but have just recently
tried using my target images with cie/it8 file option and have come across some
problems.
First if I uses a wolf-faust it8 chart I get a dtstyle file that adds a strong
red cast to my images even though I have used the same image for both methods.

Second I have tried to use a ColorChecker clone
 http://www.greywhitebalancecolourcard.co.uk/
with a custom cie file that I created from reference values on their site and I
am unable to select just the patches that contain the grey ramp.
The resulting style is also unusable this time with very strange tone curve
and color cast.

Would it be possible to enable selection of only the grey ramp patches instead
of all as the only option (currently only A1 - D6 is selectable and not D1-D6)
this results in a very strange roller coaster tone curve.

Any thoughts / questions?
Tim.

Hi François, the setting is accessed by clicking the "raw black/whitepoint"

Could this imply that extra noise is being introduced in this

[darktable-dev] Feature Request

2016-10-18 Thread Tim Rolph
Hi All, would it be possible to add an option for auto raw white point
calculation? At the moment the raw white point for CRW files is set at 4000, I
believe this is because of Adobe DNG creator reports this! I find that the
required white point can vary between 1000 and 9000 depending on the
individual image!

I also have just checked how Rawtherapee handles highlight reconstruction and
it seem at least on the few images I have checked to produce better
results.:-(

[darktable-dev] Raw Overexposure Indication broken

2016-10-12 Thread Tim Rolph
Hi Roman, with raw overexposure indicator enabled usually I get a small
percentage of the image indicated if its over exposed (with CRW
images). Since
last night (i am checking daily) the whole image turns green when it is
enabled even though it not over exposed!

P.S it would be nice to be able to visually see an indication that there is
overexposure left in an image as sometimes its not obvious

Re: [darktable-dev] Canon CRW Files

Hello Roman, the problem is that the images appear darker the higher the ISO
level is used! I can send you some test shots that demonstrate it if you like.
The highest ISO 3200 are very dark in RT but not in any other software that I
have tried.

Kind Regards,

Tim Rolph.

[darktable-dev] Canon EOS-300D and Rawspeed Cameras.xml

2016-07-17 Thread Tim Rolph
Hello, I have a issue with images having a green cast. The higher Iso settings
400-3200 have the problem
more than 100 - 200. I have tried modifying the Cameras.xml file in the
Rawspeed directory with limited
success. I am seeing that the values for WB RGGB Black Levels are off for all
ISO's getting worse at around
+ 200 over the correct value for 1600 and 3200. I have not had this problem
with Rawtherapee or
Lightzone which both use dcraw.
I tried converting to DNG to get correct values and manually entering the
corrections but this is not practical
for the number of images I have.
I found a much more comprehensive exif viewer called " ExifTool by Phil Harvey
(phil at owl.phy.queensu.ca)"
