Dear Bernhard + Vietor: that was it, thank you! I am not familiar with the concept of "variables", unfortunately; then I was unsure if storing in the origin folder is supported. In my workflow, I like having modified pics in the same directory to keep it at the same place (pic-sequence) as originals. So, for now, I can use the feature as desired- thank you!
