Because, this doesn't work. The dragging of the panel is limited and I
need more. But this is solved, although I didn't see the icon then to
select an export directory and the reason was very strange. The dt
window was larger than my monitor. After I used the icon for maximum
size of the dt window, everything is fine. I can see the icon now to
select the export directory.

As already said, the icon to click to select the export directory
should be at the beginning and not at the end, because the icon is
shown after the path and if you have a very long path you need a very
broad panel.

I'm sorry for late answer.
Darktable didn't start with that command command line, all it says there 
is no such application, so no data from there, but apples report has so 
MUCH text.
I removed darktable (including system files) and downloaded a new 
version, but it didn't help.

I’ve mostly migrated to Linux, but I still have a Mojave setup. I’ll see 
if I can reproduce it and see what is going on.
