Re: [darktable-user] hdr with flash?
Shoot raw images, I glanced at your camera's specs and you can choose either 'Compressed 12-bit NEF (RAW)' or 'NEF (RAW) + JPEG' as a file format to have a RAW image of your shot. You can then do "fake bracketing" manually by creating copies in DT of a single RAW image and applying a different exposure adjustment on each. (For example -2 -1 0 +1 +2, for a 5 shot, 4 stops bracket). Export the pics as jpg or tif and then use them as a bracket in a program such as Photomatix or Luminance HDR. I can usually get away with using a single RAW image for hdr without using a bracket. No need for tripod for real bracketing anymore :-). Hope this helps. [darktable-user] hdr with flash?
This is interesting. I take pictures of houses interiors. Because my camera doesn't do bracketed images (stupid nikon d3200) I had a thought: hdr combines shadows and hilights so why can't I do one photo with a flash and the other without. The results are interesting. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2xvsVTZy4y1QnBDZDFjdTFjeE0 -- :-)~MIKE~(-: darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
