Re: Best crashes when rendering results from mail backend

2005-12-17 Thread Gorka Navarrete GarcĂa

Hi,

I'm having this problem too but it seems more general.

Right now Best is simply unusable. I can't do any kind of search without
it crashing.

I'm using Dapper too in an AMD64 laptop.

That's no real problem for me since I had to switch from Evolution to
Thunderbird because Evolution does not display any E-Mail in my INBOX
for one of my IMAP accounts. The files are there, everything gets
correctly filtered and the panel on the left says that there are unread
mail, but the INBOX diplay panel is always empty. Nothing helped, so I
had to switch to Thunderbird.

When you said it didn't work with 1.4, is the crash the same?
Unfortunately, I can't downgrade to Evolution 1.4 because the beagle
packages depend already on 1.5. Since they are not compatible, this
might be a bug in Ubuntu Dapper.

Ok, evolution-sharp isn't compatible with e-d-s 1.5.x yet.

What version of evolution-sharp, evolution and evolution data server do
you have installed?

Joe

Here is what I get with dpkg -l:
ii evolution 2.5.3-0ubuntu1
ii libevolution-cil 0.10.2-1ubuntu2
ii evolution-data-server 1.5.3-0ubuntu1

I think evolution-sharp is called libevolution-cil in Debian/Ubuntu,
since there are no evolution-sharp packages available. I upgraded to the
1.5.3 version because of problems with my IMAP account, but it didn't
work with 1.4 either.
