describes similar situations though the end-goal is different. I'll advise

I would say that a good starting point would be to draw out the routes and
code+name them properly. I found geojson.io was quite sufficient for the
job.

We could then extend to mark hubs where they intersect or come close.

Next.. Fare formulas based on distance, or lump-sum.


Tanget : At some point I want to explore an idea of using geohashes (see
this  and this
) in this sector. (In this group we had
discussed plus codes earlier but I found this other open source algo that's
open source too and apparently produces even smaller codes.)
