Integerated Road Accident Database application has been deployed in live 
environment for six pilot states / 59 lighthouse districts of 6 pilot 
states on 15th Feb 2021 i.e., UP, MR, MP, TN, RJ and KA.

800 black spots are on NH alone. MORTH releases only numbers, not the 
location.

plus some useful info on identification and prioritisation.

This recent article quotes 400 for Punjab


That doesn't jibe with the March 2018 PIB release
 stating
approximately 800 blackspots for whole of India. Maharashtra  alone

has 634!
