Hi, The problem looks like is with the serial port on my PC and not the board. I hooked up an oscilloscope and confirmed data coming out of the board but my PC serial port is not displaying anything. Re: Booting problem on Davinci EVM
HI Carlos, I tried that I configured S3 for UART boot mode ( I tried both S3-1 and S3-2 in OFF mode and also in ON mode) but I am not able to see any messages on the UART console. I am not sure what can go wrong so suddenly but looks like UART has gone bad :( Regards, Meher On 12/29/06, Carlos Ojea <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Any ideas from on how to debug this and to confirm UART on board is > good/bad are appreciated. Re: Booting problem on Davinci EVM
OK... I did some debugging using lauterbach and loading the U-boot to RAM. Looks like U-boot is getting stuck in one of the ns16550_reinit function which is getting called from serial_putc function. I am not sure why this is happening all of a sudden unless RS232 transeiver on the board has gone bad... Any ideas from on how to debug this and to confirm UART on board is good/bad are appreciated.
