There is an apparent glitch in the Data Sources view. Please follow these
instructions: [1] Create a spreadsheet with data in it. [2] Register the
spreadsheet as a Data Source in Open Office. [3] Open the Data Sources view
(F4). The glitch is as follows: If any of the cells in row 2 in the spreadsheet
contain numerical values (numbers), the text entries in all the cells in the
column below the numerical value will NOT be displayed in the Data Sources view
(even though the spreadsheet contains the data). However, numbers will not be
affected in the column. Also, if any of the cells in row 2 in the spreadsheet
contain dates, the text entries in all the cells in the column below the date
entry will NOT be displayed AND any numerical values will be changed to a date.

This is a known limitation of the spreadsheet driver.

the driver use the format found in the first row as column format. So a number
in the first row set the form to number and so a string will not displayed. The
same with dates.

anyway I set this issue to ENHANCEMENT and send to the right developer.
