Version 1.0.0 is quite old and I suspect that this was just an oversight on your part. The current stable release is 3.0, could that be the version you are using. Also, which Linux distro you are using? Are you using the OpenOffice.org application supplied by your distro, or downloaded from the OO.o website? Finally - the type of database you are working with. OOs Base crashes when I try to close out of the relation window. I have tried to build one realtion save close, and build one relation save and then exit -- both ways the OO Base totally crashes. And there are no realtions built when I get back into the program. What/Where, can I find any patches or work aorunds for this problem.
