I think that is related to the set up in the user table in MySQL db. Maybe
the user is allowed to connect from localhost but not any other hosts. Add
a record for that user with same privileges and a '%' for the Host column
may help.

Subject: Access permissions problem.
Anyone ever seen this before?
When trying to open a database using mySQL, the specified username and
password work fine, and all access permissions seem to be in place. But
when trying to open *any* database on the server through DBI, I receive an
Access denied for user@host. I'm pretty much at my wit's end on this.
Anybody out there have an idea of what I might be doing wrong?
