[Dbpedia-gsoc] GSoC-2016

2016-03-09 Thread Harshil Meena
Hi,
I'm currently a sophomore at Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi,
majoring in Computer Science. I've been interested in several projects by
DBPedia for GSOC 2016. Though, it seems that many of these are already
filled. So, could you please share with me some of the ideas which are yet
not taken?
I'd also like to use this opportunity to learn more about the DBPedia
project and become more engaged with the open source community.

Thank you!
Harshil

2016-03-09 Thread Dimitris Kontokostas
in the server.default.properties configuration you can either

1. limit the languages to one only e.g. en instead of @mappings

# List of languages, e.g. 'en,de,fr' or '@mappings'

languages=@mappings

2. change the mappingsDir to something that does not exists to force
downloading from the server

# ontology file. if it doesn't exist, load from server
ontologyFile=../doesnotexists/ontology.xml

# mappings dir. if it doesn't exist, load from server
mappingsDir=../doesnotexists/mappings

2016-03-09 Thread Nico Del Piano
Hey Dilshan,

I ran into the same problem. One solution is the following:

Make sure you updated your config files with your custom settings,
i.e., changed your download paths in your run/debug configuration.

Also, as Aditya suggested, you should update your mapping files:

1. cd core
2. ../run download-mappings

Cheers!

Nicolas.

Hey Dimitris and Aditya,

Yes I could fix the problem the same way as you did :).

I'll update the documentation to make sure this issue won't bother anyone
else.

Thanks you both,

Welcome Kunal,

if you did all the warm up tasks without any problem and have no questions
you are probably ready to start writing your application ;)
(or ask for even more warm up tasks)

Cheers,
Dimitris

Re: [Dbpedia-gsoc] GSoC + Setting up extraction-framework

2016-03-09 Thread Dimitris Kontokostas

directory to the module or maven directory.
If this fixes the problem can you also update the documentation accordingly?
