[Debconf-discuss] Sun 23th morning, walking or taxi to the station
Hi, I need to leave very early on Sunday, my train from Heidelberg departs at 6:00 AM, checking on the bus schedule it seems that there is no bus by that time, so I have only two options, walk to the train station or take a taxi. I'll like to know if there is more people leaving that early on Sunday, if so, we can either walk together to the train station or share a taxi. Please let me know on IRC/email. [Debconf-discuss] Second hand camera stores
Hi, I think many people here enjoy photography, and as you know getting lenses can be expensive :) I'll like to go to some of the camera stores while in city, I'm very interested to check their second hand stock, so far I found this option: http://www.prophotosupply.com/p-used.htm# I'll like to go on Thursday morning, if anyone else is interested to join let me know on IRC(rmayorga). [Debconf-discuss] DebConf14 Agenda
As you probably notice, Summit have a way to mark which talks are you attending[1] [1] https://summit.debconf.org/debconf14/meeting/15/bugsdebianorg-database-ho/ We will like to request you to mark your attendance for the talks you are interested in, this will help us to do a better room distribution in case is need it (i.e: very crowded talk scheduled in one small room). If you are not aware of the schedule yet, please visit the conference Website[3], from there you can browse the current schedule by date. [3] https://summit.debconf.org/debconf14/ https://bits.debian.org/2014/08/debconf14-schedule-available.html It is not required to mark your attendance, but having some estimates on the numbers will help us to distribute the rooms better. Looking forward to meet everyone in Portland in two weeks :) Cheers -- René on Behalf on DebCon14 talks team. signature.asc Description: Digital signature ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss

You can leave your bags, take a shower, relax and then walk to the venue. Please check the map for better orientation: http://debconf12.debconf.org/map.xhtml The hotel will have a list of DebConf room allocations -- please tell them your name and help them find it on the list! The Front Desk will be located in the hacklab building (Xabier Gorostiaga) -- when you arrive on the campus, you should go there and register. If the university security staff ask you something, just tell them that you are going to DebConf and they will let you in for the first time to get your badge. If you are bringing cheese, the hotel rooms do not have a mini-bar/fridge, but don't panic, you can label your cheese and give it to the hotel's reception people, and they will store it in a safe place for you. [Debconf-discuss] Laundry in Managua
Hi, I contacted some local laundries in Managua, so far I found a Laundry service at AQUAMATIC which is close to the seminole(700mts). They can give us pick-up and delivery service, but they will need a minimum of 5Kg to do the pick-up, and they charge C$10($0.45USD) per 0.5Kg. I'm thinking that we can make a list and organize some collective laundry during DebCamp/DebConf. I started this wiki page[1] to coordinate this, I know that all your geeky t-shirts are clean now, but is good to know that we will have a laundry service ready when all those t-shirts becomes sweaty and smelly :) [1] http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf12/Laundry Cheers and see you in Managua in a few days :) -- René ___ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss

Not a local, but I bought a local SIM with Movistar, I got it for C$100 and they got me C$100 of credit, then I subscribe to a data plan, they give you 5 days free and after that it cost C$23($1USD) per day, I'm not sure of the transfer limits on this plan, so far the credit is still good, receiving and making calls and data plan(since 21/06/2012) the service is not so good though, I get disconnected(out of network) once in a while. Not sure if that problems are because of my hardware compatibility(N900) or just because the service is bad, but for C$100($4.25 USD) is not bad. > No idea how data access is spread over Nicaragua, though.
