Re: Tourism in Taiwan

2018-06-20 Thread Louis-Philippe Véronneau
Thanks for all the nice suggestions!

I wrote to the people at Taiwan Adventures [1] to get some price + ideas
of hikes.

If anyone cares to join me it would be very nice! I'm not sure I'll be
able to afford a guide alone...

Their High Mount Hikes [2] look nice, but I'd be up to anything if
others want to do something easier.

Worst case scenario, I guess I'll try to find a room not to far from
Shei-Pa National Park or Taroko National Park and do a bunch of 1-day hikes.

There is at least one more lesson to be learned - it may have been
better to have people submit the details at the same time as
registering, so I opened a wishlist bug for that to be changed[1] in the
software that displays the form.

Daniel

Can you please clarify the status of the eCode / eVisa processing?

I looked at the information page[1] but it doesn't say how long it
takes. People have received bursary notifications last week and they
may not want to pay for flights until the eVisa is confirmed.

Debian Package of the Day videos at DebConf

2018-06-20 Thread Jonathan Carter
Hi Debconfers

Do you remember Debian Package of the Day[1] that ran in the mid 2000s?

Well, recently I started a new video version of that series that you can
either view on YouTube[2] or on my video website[3].

If there's enough interest, then I'd like to do a few package of the day
videos with either package maintainers or upstream at DebConf/DebCamp.

These videos tend to be short, less than 10 minutes, and shouldn't take
a lot of time to put together.

If you're interested, then please mail me back with a package (or a few
potential ones) that we could cover during DC along with the times that
you would likely be available.

Thanks and see you soon at DebConf!

-Jonathan
