Finally... .

The solution was upgrade gnupg  using the buster repository. I dont need
to upgrade all the system, only around 16 packages.

Now im happy

Yes

The theory is a problem with old version of gnupg. Im still using Debian
Strech, in Buster is working fine...

Just to be sure, you're replacing "FINGERPRINT" with your actual fingerprints,
right? You may also want to add `--keyserver keys.gnupg.net`, so in the end
you'd
run something like this (but with your keys):

` gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys
"8FB9C5D6AE7BA82B7BB1D887C51EA7006E6BDC0D" `

Thanks again to everyone who gave information. I had a great time in
Sao Paulo and the bus was really very civilised. ++

I shouldn't really say this because I want people to come on the
day trip I will do (not decided yet...) but:

This train ride is really nice. I did it yesterday by myself before
"arriving" at the conference. The train is very slow but the views
are really good. Especially if it's not foggy...

FYI yesterday I took the train back and got back to the train station
at 1830.

Keysigning Party at DebConf19 (list available tomorrow morning)

2019-07-19 Thread Samuel Henrique
Hello everyone,

Just a friendly reminder/announcement that the deadline to register the
keys you want to have at the KSP's list is today.

Login to the DebConf website and update your registration with your keys:
https://debconf19.debconf.org/register/step-3

Remember that your key has to be reachable in order for it to count, this
means I must be able to get your keys with:
gpg --recv-keys "FINGERPRINT"

If you are uploading your key just now, please make sure it's available at
least in the "keys.gnupg.net" keyserver:
*gpg --keyserver "keys.gnupg.net " --send-key
"FINGERPRINT"*

The file for the KSP will be made available after the midnight of today :)

Have a great DebConf!

Share travel to sao paulo

Someone are travelling to Sao Paulo on day 29th after debconf?
We are trying to organize the cheapest way to attend to linux-dev.
We can rent a car or split the expenses with someone who have space in
there own car.

Pablo

Welcome Team volunteers wanted (for open day aka tomorrow)

2019-07-19 Thread Rhonda D'Vine

 Hello,

I guess most of you are aware that tomorrow will be the Open Day.
During that it is very usual for more people from the local community to
attend than people who are already involved with Debian for longer. So
it would be great if we would have some people around wearing the shiny
Welcome Team shirts to be willing to receive questions about Debian in
general, about DebConf in particular and also the venue, how things work.

On top of that, there might also be some language barrier involved.
That's one of the main reason why we have a lot of those talks held in
Portuguese too. But that also means that it would be very fine to have
people who speak Portuguese too be amongst those that are willing to
help out.

Please get in contact with me, or with the backdesk (which is opposite
of the frontdesk in the same room) to talk about it and have a shirt.
The main part of your job will be to be visible and try to help people
with their questions. You don't have to know everything by yourself,
but knowing whom to ask or where to guide the people to is definitely a
plus. :)

Thanks for everyone who is willing to help with this already now,
Rhonda

DebConf19: trip by train to Morretes - hurry up!

2019-07-19 Thread Paulo Henrique de Lima Santana
Hi,

If you are planing to go to the trip by train to Morretes, please go to
Front Desk and pay to Daniel Lenharo ASAP.

We (local team) must pay a part of the amount today (friday) for the
agency at 15h to guarantee the trip, so, hurry up :-)

If you can't pay today, we can wait until monday 14h.

If you are in the waiting list, you can pay too because I believe we can
add more 14 people. We are getting 1 bus with 44 seats and another with
30 seats. Maybe we can change the second for 44 searts, but we need to
know today if we will really have more than 74 travelers.

to many "ifs" :-)

Best regards,
