No need for a taxi there. Between ferry (8:45) and bus (14:00) there is hopefully enough time to see https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/307287831 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphitheatre_of_Durrës) *and* have a breakfast :-)

I was struggling to find the right departure place on the map given the amount of "Rrota e Kuqe" placenames in that area :) Enrico -- GPG key: 4096R/634F4BD1E7AD5568 2009-05-08 Enrico Zini

I'm aware of two options: - Get a bus directly from Durrës to Prizren. We booked tickets for this, but never saw the bus in Durrës. Perhaps we should have just been more patient. - Get a bus to Tirana - they go very regularly and it is a short ride - then get a second bus to Prizren. But it seems that most buses to Tirana stop outside town (possibly at 41.344⁰N 19.777⁰E, but I didn't mark the place), while the buses to Prizren go from the international station (at 41.333⁰N 19.801⁰E). We ended up going this way and taking a taxi between the bus stations. If you're arriving by ferry, there is a foot bridge from the ferry terminal to the bus station that will be on your right as you exit the terminal. No need for a taxi there. [DebConf22] Not well-known gate of the Venue
Dear all, I'm informed and then confirmed by myself that there's a secret / not well-known gate near our dining place. It has easy access to get to downtown Prizren. Just go straight down the path between the dining place and U6 dorm building, and you will eventually see a stainless steel gate. Say hi to the gate keeper, and he will get you through. This can save at least 15 min walk if you visit downtown. Cheers, -- Roger Shimizu, GMT +2 Prizren PGP/GPG: 4096R/6C6ACD6417B3ACB1
tips for getting to DC
Yo! I can't say the travel to DC is uneventful. Thus, here's a bunch of bits to be wary of: * do have cash on hand -- esp. if you don't use EUR at home: there's no ATMs in places you'd expect them to be * download off-line maps; there's no network and most phone carriers have no data roaming * in Prizren, taxi drivers don't know what "ITP" is, and they can't make sense of the street address. Just say "Camp German" or "kfor" -- everyone knows where soldiers used to be. * for long-distance buses, that Gjirafa site lists only ~25% of buses -- just get to the station and ask what's the next bus to Prizren (Prishtina actually, the route goes through Prizren), there's MANY companies running that route * Prizren "bus station" is just a parking at a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, with no ATMs, signage, etc Meow! -- ⢀⣴⠾⠻⢶⣦⠀ ⣾⠁⢠⠒⠀⣿⡁ What kind of a drug are "base" and "red pill"? I think acid is ⢿⡄⠘⠷⠚⠋⠀ LSD, which would make base... ? Judging from the behaviour of ⠈⠳⣄ those "based and redpilled", something nasty.
