ansible MR review today plz?

2019-05-09 Thread Carl Karsten
Can someone review my MR in the next 6-8hours?

I've done a few passes of testing, which are kludged because it relies
on files being in master which aren't there yet, like:
http://video-setup.debian.net/d-i/preseed_local_debian.cfg
redirects to
https://salsa.debian.org/debconf-video-team/ansible/raw/master/roles/tftp-server/files/d-i/preseed_local_debian.cfg

So I have to hack things and hand hold a new person to walk them
around the hacks which is some testing but far from ideal.

I have someone that will give it a run tonight.

They live in the same city as the next event I'll be doing:
http://pyohio.org July 27-28 so it would be super helpful if they
knew more about all the things.

pollo is the obvious person, but not soon:
CarlFK: pollo: have some time to look at this and help me resolve the
'local file' issue?
pollo: not before the marseille mini-dc may 21-28th
pollo: I have $work stuff I really want to finish before leaving :(

I believe you call "speaker" :-)

"Sound box" is a literal translation for the equipament from portuguese.
"Speaker" is funny because in english it can be the equipament or
someone given a speach.

Understood.

in that case we will need "Sound Boxes" in the 2 of the 3 rooms (We
don't need them in the BoF / video conference room because it is so small)

If I have understood correctly there are already Sound boxes (and
amplifiers) 'hard wired' in the other 2 rooms that we be using.

The only difference from how the rooms are currently set up is that I
will move the feeds to the amplifiers from the "main" output of the
mixing desk to a "group", "auxiliary", "effects" or "foldback" channel
so that we can use the "main" output for the video stream.

Cheers

Ah ok.

Venue staff told me they have 2 hand-held microphone, if we need backup too.

Handheld wireless or wired microphones? We need wireless as they will be
used for people in the audience asking questions.

They have 2 Handheld wireless and some with wired.
But I am sure it's better rent all we need and have these only for backup.

Yes, probably best to hire and use their 2 for backup.

#H11Sound Mixer

is this for video-conferencia room?

Yes by the looks of things. Assuming that is the room that doesn't
currently have a mixer.

Yes, it doesn't have.
By the way, if we need sound box, the venue staff can borrow.

Sorry I don't know what you mean by "Sound Box" can you describe please?

Do you know what mixer they have access to? We definitely do need one
for this room. If we can get it from the venue, that would be great.

The #H23 mic stands are for that

Ok.
The venue staff have some to borrow too, if we need more than 4.

We should only need 4, as the big auditorium will have ambients hung
from the ceiling.
