I get the same log message, however DCC works fine. I think it's just
the log message that's bogus. Why do you think it isn't working? Is
nothing flagged as spam?

I use dcc along with pyzor, razor in spamassassin. When I look through
the tests reported in the mail headers (e.g. grep through my spam
folder), I never saw dcc appearing. There is no warranty I did
everything correct when installing though. But I'm glad to hear it's
working on your alpha; I will do a little reading and testing in that
case...

Maybe you're using 3.1? DCC has been disabled there by default, see
/usr/share/doc/spamassassin/NEWS.Debian.gz.
