I was just made aware of this problem by wookey.

I'm responsible for most patches adding build profile support in this list [1]
so if you identify where the problem is, I might be able to come up with a
patch that adds support for build profiles.

Maybe it is only that some of the involved software on debian-ports has not yet
been upgraded to a version with build profile support? You can check the
version requirements at [1].

Thanks!

cheers, josch

3. Announce the new debian-po...@lists.debian.org so that people

   discussion about
   a) debian-ports.org infrastructure
   b) porting Debian in general
   c) questions related to setting up a Debian port,
  including wanna-build, buildd, etc.

That's exactly it, yes. Thanks. :-)

Hi Alexander et al,,

Could we make a start on this please? More discussions on the d-ports
expander today have reminded me how annoying the current setup is.

We tried hard to find and fix everthing that would care:

I guess there is something different about ports infra, or something
that has not been updated. I've pointed Josch at this bug to
investigate.

dose should be doing those buil-dep calcs and it has understood this
for ages.
