swriteboot error and sound on XP1000

2003-07-17 Thread Jonathan Riddell

Can anybody help with this error message from swriteboot:

# swriteboot -v /dev/sda bootlx
open bootfile: No such file or directory

aboot.conf contains:
0:3/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda3

and the disk is formatted like this:
3 partitions:
# start end size fstype [fsize bsize cpg]
  a:2 4 3 ext2
  b:513 9 swap
  c: 14 521 508 ext2

And while I'm asking very beginner questions, how do I get sound
working on an XP1000 using the builtin sound chip?

Many thanks

Jonathan Riddell

You need to give the complete path to the bootlx file. Make sure you
have the "aboot" package installed. It's in /boot/bootlx then.

Just try 'modprobe sb', works fine on my XP1000.
