latest net install ISO?
I'm trying to reinstall my Debian amd64. When I got to the desktop & packages install, none of the install options worked. I then tried to use aptitude to install Gnome, but there was 72 broken packages!! I was using sid inside my apt sources file. I think there's been changes since I first installed amd64. I've seen a thread talking about the ISO images now being at cdimage.debian.org rather than amd64.debian.net.. I've checked the cdimage site, but amd64 is not listed as as arch. Where do I get the latest iso for amd64 which works & is able to install a workstation with Gnome? Tnx, Rupert -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? You have a few options: 1) Wait for kde 3.4.2 to enter unstable 2) Recompile kdebase 3.4.1-1 from alioth. No changes required. 3) Try installing the following package. media:/ in kde 3.4.1 does not see my devices
I am running Debian amd64 sid with a 2.6.12 kernel. I installed kde 3.4.1 and I am a bit disappointed because the media:/ service does not work properly for me, (whereas it works perfectly on my sid 32). media:/ does not show for example my USB stick, and the CD icon on the desktop is always present (even if there is no CD in the drive), and does not change depending on the type of disc present (as it must be). In konqueror, the url media:/ shows only devices in /etc/fstab but does not say anything on what is mounted in /media/... hal, udev, dbus-1, pmount, work perfectly, but there seems to be a lack of communication between these tools and kde. Has anyone experienced this already ? And do you know a solution to fix that ? Thank you.
