I tried twice to to install testing. X failed to start the same
problems as mentioned in previous emails.

From what Hans reported, it was my impression this is related to the Xorg
Radeon (ati) drivers, not to NVidia or something else ?

I used stock debian kernels with no proprietary drivers. It failed
with just nv.

I have Nvidia GeForce 7000M and it is not working.

I just installed Stable and everything works nicely. If I (just/only)
upgrade my system to Testing then the X does not work.

an application (namely: liquid weather, which is a superkaramba application)
is calling for a package simply called pyqt. It seems, this is not in the
repository, or is it under another name there???

Running apt-cache search pyqt offers various suggestions, most
notably python-qt3 and python-qt4.

The non-3D (default) nvidia drivers do not function properly with some
7600s, in particular, the 7600 GT. I must use another driver with mine.
I use the nvidia proprietary blob[0], it works fine.
