Athlon64 Dual Core powernow

2005-10-05 Thread Alex Ferrara
I have used the powernow-k8 driver on many different motherboards and
many athlon64 cpus. I have just installed a dual core cpu and the
powernow-k8 driver says

powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Athlon 64 / Opteron processors (version 1.40.4)
powernow-k8: BIOS error - no PSB or ACPI _PSS objects

Is this a bios problem or a module problem?

Has anyone had any joy in this area?

Re: Athlon64 Dual Core powernow

2005-10-05 Thread Alex Ferrara

I am running an Asus A8N SLI with a 3800+ Dual core

uname -r: 2.6.12-1-amd64-generic

(ok, I know no smp)

If I try and insert the powernow-k8 module, it whines and doesn't insert
it. It must be a bios related issue I did read about a newer version
of the powernow-k8 module was in the pipeline in 2.6.13.

Mozilla Thunderbird bug?

2005-09-30 Thread Alex Ferrara
My PC used to run i386 Debian, and I have recently moved over to AMD64
port. I have noticed that Mozilla Thunderbird does not want to save a
copy of an outgoing message to my Sent folder. I had the same config
under i386 Debian using the same mail server (Cyrus-imap), and all was
well.

After much searching, I have found that this is not a new bug, but has
been around for quite a while.

I found that playing with the advanced settings in Thunderbird allowed
me to save items in sent, but it did not see all my other folders in the
imap tree.

Ideas anyone?
