Hello, I have just tried to install opera 8.5 on sarge amd64. Everithing seemed to be fine during the install except this: System wide configuration files: /etc/opera6rc /etc/opera6rc.fixed cannot be installed with the prefix "/usr". Do you want to install them [ y,n | yes,no ] ? I choosed yes. When I launched opera I got the following error: /usr/bin/opera: line 1: /usr/lib/opera/8.50-20050916.1/opera: No such file or directory /usr/bin/opera: line 1: /usr/lib/opera/8.50-20050916.1/opera: Success So this /usr/lib/opera/8.50-20050916.1/opera does exist ,so I really don't know what the problem is. Hy, I've tried to install sarge amd-64 on MSI K8N NEO PLATINUM, but it complains at first at the network card (I tried to use the nvidia 2 driver, though it is nvidia 3), then after rebooting it keeps on writing: nv_sata: Primary device added nv_sata: Primary device removed nv_sata: Secondary device added nv_sata: Secondary device removed The SATA3/4 DMA was disabled in BIOS, but still have the complaining... SATA II support, MSI K8T Neo2-FIR
Hello, Does anybody know whether SATA II is suppported in Debia AMD-64? I'm planning to buy this motherboard: MSI K8T Neo2-FIR, and on their home page it reads: SATA 150MB/s with extensions (SATA II Phase I). Hi all, Since the sarge has become stable I would like to know wheter it has any influence on the source.list file. Now it contains the followings: deb http://amd64.debian.net/debian-amd64/ sarge main deb-src http://amd64.debian.net/debian-amd64/ sarge main What about the security updats and so on? Another thing: with these sources I cannot install openoffice, there are only additional packages when I am using synaptic. I would like also opera and acroread, but cannot get them. LAN problems
Hi, I've tried to install sarge-amd-64 on my PC by means of the netinstall CD, but had some troubles with the integrated Gigabit LAN. I have MSI K8T NEO FSR (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=496), on which there is an integrated Realtek® 8110S Dual layout LAN. It says that there is no driver for the ethernet card, and the Packages.gz, where it is looking for that, is empty, anyway. So I couldn't finished the installation :( Does anybody know any sollution?
