Re: Flash (Re: OpenOffice-2.0.)
Hi v0n0, I'm running 32bit mplayer with w32codecs without chroot, but it's too experimental to put it online, for instance Firefox-32 installs without problems im my system, but on the others don't! The same could be for mplayer... Cool... It seems we will have the w32codecs in the future. ;-) How did you manage to install OO.o? I have installed OO.o from your mirror. $ sudo apt-get install mozilla-firefox-32 ia32-libs -t experimental ... Setting up mozilla-firefox-32 (1.0.7-1.32b2) ... Updating mozilla-firefox chrome registry...E: Registration process existed with status: 127 E: /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-32/extensions/installed-extensions.txt still present. Registration might have gone wrong. mv: cannot stat `/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-32/defaults.ini': No such file or directory I fixed preinst script, could you try it now and then write me? ;) Thanks! Always the same error: Setting up mozilla-firefox-32 (1.0.7-1.32b3) ... I'm insvestigating this now... To have ooo working with the instructions from the above webpage, I have downgraded ia32-libs from your version (1.5-20051126) to the official one (1.5) from testing. After that, I have OO.o working again. (Just launched it... I'm not a big user of office suites...). But no more possible to install skype... It seems the current version you have packaged needs ia32-libs 1.5-20051126... And OO.o don't work with it: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/setofficelang.bin: relocation error: /emul/ia32-linux/lib/tls/libc.so.6: symbol _rtld_global_ro, version GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference To switch between ia32-libs=1.5-20051126 and ia32-libs=1.5, I need to do: apt-get install ia32-libs=1.5 or: apt-get remove ia32-libs apt-get install ia32-libs -t experimental Without removing ia32-libs 1.5, I can't install ia32-libs 1.5-20051126. It says: Setting up ia32-libs (1.5-20051126) ... ln: `./ld-linux.so.2': File exists dpkg: error processing ia32-libs (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Hope I'm clear enough... helix-player crash at startup
Hello, has anyone try to use the helix-player ? I'm trying it now at work, and it says: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:amd64$ helix-player GLib-ERROR **: gmem.c:141: failed to allocate 17149707381026848842 bytes aborting... /usr/bin/helix-player: line 68: 2344 Aborted $HXPLAYBIN $@ This is version 1.0.6-2 debian amd64 package. Of course, if there is a way to install realplayer package, this is also OK. The chroot solution seems not a good solution for us, as we use nis/automounts/... And I prefer to have a system with almost all the packages using 64 bits and not 32. At this time, the big problems I have are OpenOffice and Real Player. Thanks in advance for any tips. Thanks for these links. I will try all of them and select the best one for my needs. It's a shame that eeyes is no more maintained. I also have take back the oldstable package of eeyes, and dpkg-buildpackage it. Seems working OK. So, I will keep it in my own packages until I'm used with one of the other alternative. eeyes
Hello, I often use eeyes (http://packages.debian.org/oldstable/graphics/eeyes). Is someone knowing if there is a amd64 package for it ? (or even if it is replaced by another tool on the Debian repositories). Thanks in advance.
