Hi,

there is an architecture specific bug for jasper:

Can someone of the amd64 team confirm this? Is this caused by a broken
(and now updated) build environment (compiler?) on amd64? Is there
anything special to keep in mind to prevent this kind of problem in the
future?

Would a binNMU recompile be the right (and final) solution here?

Thanks,

bye,
  Roland

Hi,

does sth. like this happen more often for amd64?

Feel free to bin-NMU, I don't have the time to work on this for the
following 2 weeks.

Thanks!

bye,

Package: libjasper-runtime
Version: 1.701.0-2
Severity: important

On AMD64 image conversion generates just single colour grey image only
and not the image that it is actually meant to be.

e.g.
jasper -f cats.pnm -F cats.jp2
or anything that uses jasper library
convert cats.pnm cats.jp2

produces just that single grey image. On any images i have tried only
that grey image was crated.

Recompiling the jasper source and installing the 2 packages fixed this
problem. No changes at all to the source, just a recompile.

Other then that, there isn't anything I can tell you that might have
affected this. I just compiled the source only.

Hopefully doing the same there will fix this.

Thanks

Chris
