I have a file debian-6.0.5-amd64-DVD-5.iso.tmp that appears to be an ISO image. Am I out of luck? No, you should be still able to download it. However, it appears I was beaten to it and both Lennart and Hendrik already gave you some hints. Were you able to complete your download? Hey, You can find it at the Debian archive [1]. It is not a direct download but a .jigdo file [2] and you will need jigdo [3] to get it. Regards, T. Any hints to make me understand ? It 'just works' due to its ability to auto-configure itself. Take a look at the X.org wiki [1] (first point) - you can override this kind of behaviour if you like by forcing it to create xorg.conf for you.
