Absolutely as it runs of the backup dvd directly as a live filesytem.

Anything else would be useless. :)

It's not the backup that'll kill you, it's having a dynamically linked
copy of "ln" that needs something in /usr/lib/ that'll drive you crazy.

Put another way, are you 100% sure your restore program doesn't need
anything under /usr/?  :)
