AMD64 etch should be in ftp.de.debian.org/debian, just like sid.

Chris.

Does "etch" equal to "testing" or "unstable"? And what is "sid"?

Thanks, Leo Bogert

"Testing" changes every major release, now is "etch"; and "sid" is
always "unstable".

Manolo

Forgot to say that testing is always the next major release when it becomes
stable enough and CC to the list.

Hello,

I have been using the following since I installed amd64-etch-testing half a
year ago:

deb ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian-amd64/ testing main
deb-src ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian-amd64/ testing main

Now the testing branch does not work anymore, apt cannot find the files on
that mirror.
What is the correct URL for the testing packages?

Thanks, Leo Bogert

Use a Debian mirror.
