You should read these pages and the manual anyway before trying the install. Doug. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi Dean, > give it a whirl, see what happens! Ah... ok! I wouldn't resist it anyway. :) But I will do it with a Fedora backup :P. Not that I like Fedora that much... but I need to get the machine working... > if fedora and ubuntu are installing debian should be fine. > if a sarge disk wont boot, try a nightly net install disk. Good hint. I'll try the latest CDs... maybe one of them already has the 2.6.18 kernel, reported to work with these boards. Since its sort of new hardware, perhaps I should post a report on my etch installation later? Do you know where should I post it? give it a whirl, see what happens! if fedora and ubuntu are installing debian should be fine. if a sarge disk wont boot, try a nightly net install disk. I think debian its much more interisting (and use it all the time), but when this new machine arrives (1 week from now), I need to set it up and running very fast so, is there any chance a Debian installation will work? The machine is a E6600 on an Intel DQ965GF board, 320GB Sata disk and DVD/RW ATA drives. Thanks, Robson -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Hi, I just bought an Intel DQ965GF board and was considering whether Etch could be installed on it. I browse through the Net and all succefull installations seem to be based either in Fedora Core 6 or, perhaps, Ubuntu. Trouble?
