It seems that xine-ui was built against libcurl3-gnutls on AMD64 while it is built against libcurl3 on i386. Hopefully the newest libcurl3 packages (currently in experimental) will finally solve the mess by making libcurl3 and libcurl3-gnutls installable simultaneously.
