Hi all, just a suggestion. IMO debian-amd64 should upgrade to the latest (o.k. its beta)-driver from Nvidia. The version is 190.32 (the official debian-package is 180.36).
Doing so solves two problems: 1. The server is no more crashing when starting some java-applications (especially "tvbrowser" was a killer). 2. when shutting down, the screen content is no more saved in a hidden memory of the graphics card (I sent a security-report some time ago). With the latest driver this security hole is fixed. Please do not forget, this is just a suggestion......... Best regards Hans-J.
