I have removed the following lines from my httpd.conf I have no idea why they were in there... but everything works fine without them. # If the perl module is installed, this will be enabled. ##IfModule mod_perl.c ## Alias /perl/ /var/www/perl/ ## Location /perl ##SetHandler perl-script ##PerlHandler Apache::Registry ##Options +ExecCGI ## /Location ##/IfModule Lets close this bug then. Thanks to everyone for helping me findout it was perl in my config files.

Unfortunately it's currently impossible to use the Debian mailing lists with a e-mail address that matches procmail's check for mail coming from a daemon. This means that a username may not have mail, admin, root, master, list or similar strings in it (see procmailrc(5) for FROM_DAEMON). Why close it? Iff these configuration options alone cause a startup problem there shure _is_ a bug. Maybe reasign it to libapache-mod-perl. It works here. It was the first step i did after your mail about perl.
