Hi Mark,
the last libmm11 stable update breaks apache badly.
I received already other reports via irc (also related to non
UML environments) and clearly it needs to fixed asap.
Joey please consider either pushing fixed packages via a security update
or to make them available for stable somehow.

Excellent solution presented here... There is only one thing missing:

# a2ensite default-ssl

otherwise the new site doesn't load. Also, packagers or admins might
want to factor out common code in the 2 default site setups.
