Bug#350683: FTBFS: wrong dependency on libapr1-dev

2006-01-31 Thread Roberto Pariset
Package: apr-util
Version: 1.2.2-3
Severity: important
Justification: fails to build from source

Hi,
apr-util seems to FTBFS on everything but i386 because dependencies
cannot be satisfied: E: Couldn't find package libapr1-dev.
Maybe you should replace libapr1-dev with either libapr0 or libapr1.0.

Thanks,
Roberto

2006-01-31 Thread Paulo Sousa
Package: apache2
Version: 2.0.55-4
Severity: important

Hi,

I've few sites with SSI. After upgrade to 2.0.55, apache generate seg
fault as showed below:

[Tue Jan 31 11:13:19 2006] [notice] child pid 21702 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)

Downgrade to 2.0.54 seems to fix the problem.

Bug#341022: Access to root directory

2006-01-31 Thread Martin v. Löwis

Agreed. But instead why not think the other way.
The default configuration shouldn't allow symlink access. If people need it,
it should get explicitly mentioned in their config.

If the default configuration should disallow symlinks, then this what
the patch should say, instead of doing host-based access.

As a patch, I would have expected this to be formulated as a diff file
against the sources, also.

Regards,
Martin

Bug#350822: apache2-doc: add Readme on how to browse the docs

2006-01-31 Thread Dan Jacobson
Package: apache2-doc
Version: 2.0.53-5
Severity: wishlist

Make a /usr/share/doc/apache2-doc/README.debian saying how one is
supposed to read the documentation.

E.g., one hasn't started apache yet as one should always read
documents first before operating equipment.
One does
$ lynx file:///usr/share/doc/apache2-doc/manual/index.html.en
doesn't work. Firefox OK but clicking links breaks.
Well then tell the user how to start apache and what localhost URL to
use to browse the docs.
