Versioned Dependency on apache-common

2004-04-13 Thread Sebastian Ley
Hello,

When was modules-config introduced in apache-common? You should perhaps
add a versioned dependency on that version in the hint in
/usr/share/doc/apache-dev/README.modules.

Please CC me in replies since I am not subscribed to this list.

Regards,
Sebastian

Bug#232668: apache: deletes foreign configuration on --purge

2004-02-14 Thread Sebastian Ley
Package: apache
Version: 1.3.29.0.1-5
Severity: important

My apache module package (not yet uploaded) puts configuration files
into /etc/apache/conf.d. This directory is deleted when apache is
purged. Apache should not delete files in there. I did not file the bug
as serious, because the cases when this happens should be rather rare.

Policy regarding apache modules

2004-01-25 Thread Sebastian Ley
Hi,

I am packaging OpenGroupware.org [1] which comes with an apache module
that enables the webserver to handle the HTTP requests for the
application server.

1) Is there a policy regarding naming, location in the filesystem etc.
for apache modules?

2) The module needs some entries in httpd.conf. How do I handles this
best? I could output a note which tells the user to update his
httpd.conf but I would prefer something more automatic.

Thanks in advance,
Sebastian
