Bug#229677: apache2-common: segfault-o-rama with ldap auth

2004-02-16 Thread Philipp
Wichert: did you load the ldap module ?
specifically, my mods-enabled looks like this:
# ls -l mods-enabled/
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 36 Aug 27 02:52 cgi.load -
/etc/apache2/mods-available/cgi.load
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 26 Mar 15 2003 dav.conf -
../mods-available/dav.conf
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 26 Mar 15 2003 dav.load -
../mods-available/dav.load
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 29 Nov 24 16:26 dav_fs.load -
../mods-available/dav_fs.load
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 30 Nov 24 16:26 dav_svn.conf -
../mods-available/dav_svn.conf
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 30 Nov 24 16:26 dav_svn.load -
../mods-available/dav_svn.load
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 37 Aug 27 03:49 ldap.load -
/etc/apache2/mods-available/ldap.load
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 35 Nov 3 09:55
php4-apache2.load - ../mods-available/php4-apache2.load
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 36 Mar 15 2003 ssl.conf -
/etc/apache2/mods-available/ssl.conf
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 36 Mar 15 2003 ssl.load -
/etc/apache2/mods-available/ssl.load
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 32 Oct 4 01:42 z_auth_ldap.load
- ../mods-available/auth_ldap.load

notice the z_auth_ldap trick, so that ldap is loaded before auth_ldap.
if this doesn't work for you, please try to send in a stacktrace, so
this bug can be fixed.
It's keeping apache2 out of testing, and with it subversion.

Cheers,
 Philipp

prefork, but iirc I also reproduced it with the worker mpm.

2004-01-25 Thread Wichert Akkerman
Package: apache2-common
Version: 2.0.47-1
Severity: critical

As soon as I enable LDAP authentication on a vhost apache2 will segfault
on pretty much all hits. The LDAP config is trivial:

   Location /
   AuthNameAttingo Staff Portal
   AuthTypeBasic
   AuthLDAPEnabled on
   AuthLdapURL
   ldap://vortex:389/ou=People,dc=attingo,dc=nl?uid?sub
   Require valid-user
   /Location

Hi Wichert,
can you test using apache2 2.0.48 and see if it still happens?

Thanks
Fabio
