Jeff please it's time to fix this issue. This bug has to stay RC since it
  breaks unreleated packages.

What's problem? What's bug do you say about? We already added
 conflicts: old php.

Both Jeff and Steve know all the details about it and they have been
working on this problem. Please talk to them directly.

Thanks
Fabio

 Good day,

After upgrading from woody to sarge, apache doesn't start anymore.

 In /var/log/apache/error.log I can see :

[Tue Jul 13 14:38:01 2004] [error] (2)No such file or directory:
 mod_mime_magic: can't read magic file /etc/apache/share/magic

and apache -X give me a segfault (see attached strace).

Can you try to disable php4?

Thanks
Fabio

Indeed, if I comment :

# LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so

in httpd.conf, apache start fine (but without php support, of course).

Hi all,
we are back to the old problem again :/

Djoumé this is a very old and known problem, the only known workaround to
it is to enable libapache-mod-ssl, even if unconfigured. We are all
waiting for the libc6 maintainer to fix this issue.

Jeff please it's time to fix this issue. This bug has to stay RC since it
