Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  apache-dev: Depends: apache-common (= 1.3.29.0.2-5) but it is not going to
be installed
  Depends: apache-common ( 1.3.30-0) but it is not going to be
installed

Bug#374667: apache2-common: /etc/default/apache2 uses double negation

2006-06-20 Thread Ralf Hildebrandt
Package: apache2-common
Version: 2.0.55-4
Severity: normal

The file /etc/default/apache2 contains:
 snip -
# 0 = start on boot; 1 = don't start on boot
NO_START=0
 snip -

This is a double negation. Why not use:
START=1
instead, which is perfectly easy to understand.
