scanning the subject lines in the u-boot list, it looks like somebody has
made this work for a different (from the Cubox) architecture.

Would you be interested in getting it to work on the Cubox i-4x4?
It looks like the next couple of weeks for me will be free enough to do some 
testing, if you’re willing.
