debian-boot CVS messages use personal addresses

2001-09-01 Thread Josip Rodin

Hi,

The log_accum.pl derivative used in the debian-boot repository uses
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (for me) as the From: field of e-mail it sends. I do not want
my @d.o address used in posting to the mailing list[1]. This is not how it
is done in other Debian CVS repositories.

I tried to correct this behaviour but nobody except aph can access the
CVSROOT. So, please change the script to use a generic address in the From:
field. I can make a patch if you'd like.

[1] Because the spammers will get to it then. But then again, they have
already gotten to it, so I will restrain myself from excessive swearing,
it's too late. :/

fixing bad English in dbootstrap?

2001-09-01 Thread Josip Rodin

Hi people,

Would anyone mind if I changed the dbootstrap sources in order to fix broken
English? I'm referring to weird stuff like "make the device by hand",
"Bootstrap And Root Must Be on The Same Disk", "Basedebs", "Can't mkdir",
"Can't copy. Stop", "Now insert a floppy disk in /dev/fd0"... lots of
fairly incoherent phrases there.

Also, grep -A1 msgid\ \"C\" *.po shows some inconsistency.
