Bug#836016: netcfg: Drop unnecessary loopback config in /etc/network/interfaces

Otherwise you end up with the interface being unmanaged from n-m, despite the n-m snippet having been written. I suppose what we could do is just empty it out. At least trying that out was successful for me. I also tested the non n-m case and that was fine. > In a more general vein, ifupdown creates an appropriate /e/n/i on > package installation already. Is there already a naming convention here? Would /etc/network/interfaces.d/${interface}.conf work? (Note that for n-m we use a generic untranslated "Wired connection 1" with no adapter matching specified in the snippet.) Similarly I guess we could pre-configure systemd-networkd in some way, but right now there's no package to check for. (Which is how we determine if network-manager configuration needs to be written out.) Kind regards and thanks Philipp Kern signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

Thanks to the patch from victory, we have managed to switch generation of PDF files from jade to dblatex. As a benefit, there are now PDF variants of the installer manual for Chinese, Greek, Japanese and Vietnamese, which were not supported before. The files can be found here: http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/manual/ (as a preview of the manual for Stretch). I would be happy, if you could take a look at a PDF for your language, to see if everything is fine (especially displaying / characters / fonts). Bug#819092: #819092 win32-loader cannot load dailies because NSISdl doesn't support https

It could be replaced > with the Inetc plugin [0], but it isn't packaged. > > No dailies means no kfreebsd/hurd too, unfortunately. So I've spent a good part of today trying to fix that problem. The path I've picked was to try to in-Debian build the Inetc plugin, and then use that in win32-loader to download d-i assets over https securely. Unfortunately, that didn't work out well enough: * the inetc plugin is not properly licensed, but assuming it is under Zlib … * it (kinda-)builds under Debian, * it supports the NSIS 3.0 API, * but I couldn't manage to make it work in win32-loader, as I was having errors such as "Dialog error (1812)", and then "Connection error", which I couldn't debug. Anyway. Here's the nsis-plugin-inetc packaging: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/nsis-plugin-inetc.git/ As for the bug at hand, I will upload a new win32-loader targetted at stretch that doesn't permit dailies or alternative architectures' download (as they later fail anyway), and get that into stretch. -- Cheers, OdyX signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
nfs-common 1.3.4-2.1 jessie-backported for Reiser4 newer kernel
Niltze, all- Jessie-Reiser4 had an issue with nfs-common package from the official Debian Jessie repositories: it hung a newly installed Reiser4 root-fs Debian and/or would hang during subsequent installation with message: Setting up nfs-common (1:1.2.8-9) ... Creating config file /etc/idmapd.conf with new version Interesting thing is that Sid-Reiser4 would not be affected upon installation of Sid nfs-common package. Accordingly, I jessie-backport'ed the newer nfs-common to address the bug that hung Jessie-Reiser4. It's my pleasure to communicate that the port apparently resolved the bug-hang issue ;-) Jessie-backport nfs-common 1.3.4-1 DEB is at usual location at SourceForge --if anyone desires to provide feedback. It will subsequently be integrated into Debian-Reiser4 neboot images -- using SSL-enabled wget to download from metztli.it Best Professional Regards. -- Jose R R http://metztli.it - Download Debian-Reiser4 for AMD64 https://sf.net/projects/debian-reiser4/ - Try at no charge http://b2evolution.net for http://OpenShift.com PaaS - from our GitHub http://Nepohualtzintzin.com repository. Hello Karsten Is it possible, that the axp20x_regulator is missing in the d-i module udebs? Like the same as described in the bug #809521? Thank you for the support Best regards Bernhard
