Yes, that is correct and would be the most straightforward. I didn't look
at modconf to see what other options there could be.

Bug#144680: boot-floppies: s390 chandev configuration fails due to lack of /usr/bin/editor

2002-04-26 Thread Matt Zimmerman

Package: boot-floppies
Version: 3.0.22-2002-0403
Severity: normal

In order to set up chandev parameters, modconf runs /usr/bin/editor. This
does not yet exist in the base system when modconf is run from debootstrap,
causing this option to immediately return to the menu. If you are quick (or
running hercules on a slow system) you can see:

/target/usr/sbin/modconf: /usr/bin/editor: not found

This means that in many configurations, the network will not come up after
the initial reboot because chandev parameters need to be specified.

This could be corrected either by temporarily creating an editor link to
nano-tiny, or (?) by re-running modconf from base-config.
