Package: installation-reports Debian-installer-version: sarge netinst-beta2 from http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/sarge_d-i/i386/beta2/sarge-i386-netinst.iso Date: 12.03.04 Method: Boot from CD Machine: x86 Processor: K6-2 Memory: 128MB Root Device: /dev/hda Base System Installation Checklist: Initial boot worked: [X] Configure network HW: [X] Config network: [X] Detect CD: [X] Load installer modules: [X] Detect hard drives: [E] Partition hard drives: [X] Create file systems: [X] Mount partitions: [X] Install base system: [E] Install boot loader: [X] Reboot: [X] [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Comments/Problems: The only German keymap that was selectable (in German-Install) was german (nodeadkeys), although deadkeys should be the standard. After install console-switching did not work. Finally found that: install-keymap /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwertz/de-latin1.kmap.gz solved the problem. After partititioning the Size of the partititions was shown incorrectly, e.g. 32 kb instead of 4GB. Fortunately the installer did not reject installation. Apart from that it worked excellent.
