I tried with the following:
http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/sarge_d-i/i386/tc1/sarge-i386-netinst.iso
Now it detected.

Please don't use those images; they're unofficial and unsupported. Use
those available from http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/
instead.

Using the debian-installer, RC1, contained in the 
ftp://ftp.fsn.hu/pub/CDROM-Images/debian-unofficial/sarge/ 
dated 13 jun, AND net-inst RC1.
The installer detects the Via VT6105 ethernet card, but fails to install even 
with the floppy network drivers.
Tried expert mode too.
Display:
