Bug#399956: installation-reports etch RC1 and serveraid 8i

The kernel lists aacraid as the correct driver for the Adaptec AAC-RAID controller. We expect to have a 2.6.18 based installer available some time next week using the daily built images. It would be great if you could try again with that. Cheers, FJP -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks, I noticed the ips vs aacraid thing after filing the bug. Been using ServerRAID 7 and 4 series for too long. However, aacraid was loaded on the current Etch RC1 2.6.17 kernel. Will try again when the 2.6.18 kernel when it becomes available. Documentation/scsi/aacraid.txt has it listed 9005:0285:9005:0290 IBM ServeRAID 7t (Jaguar) 9005:0285:1014:02F2 IBM ServeRAID 8i (AvonPark) 9005:0285:1014:0312 IBM ServeRAID 8i (AvonParkLite) 9005:0286:1014:9580 IBM ServeRAID 8k/8k-l8 (Aurora) 9005:0286:1014:9540 IBM ServeRAID 8k/8k-l4 (AuroraLite) Cheers! -Martin Foster Frans Pop a écrit : On Thursday 23 November 2006 03:08, Martin Foster wrote: 04:00:0 RAID bus controller [0104]: Adaptec AAC-RAID (Rocket) [9005:0286] (rev 2) Comments/Problems: IBM serveraid 8i not detected.
