Bug#476389: os-prober: 476389: possible fix

2008-06-03 Thread Paul Wise
Hi all,

I had this same problem on a non-LVM system - grub-pc postinst failing
due to os-prober failing due to linux-boot-prober outputting improper
lines mentioning non-existent devices.

Commenting out line 81 of /usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/mounted/40grub2
fixes this issue on my system.

Line 81 looks like it was specific to one of joeyh's systems since the
hostname is mentioned by him in #483900.

   parse_grub_menu / /dev/mapper/kodama-root /dev/hda1
/boot/grub/grub.cfg

I have no idea how my laptop's hostname got hardcoded into that file.
Perhaps I left it in during intial debugging when I wrote the grub2
probes? I'll remove immediately.
